The UCIPLIBAN launched in 2002 an observatory of the media entrusted with the task to defend the media against any violation of their freedom and rights. The observatory publishes fpr this purpose periodic communiques describing the situation of the media and denouncing any aggression against them. Such communiques would allow a foolow-up of the situation of journalists and media in Lebanon during the last years.
