The article written by Akl Al AWEET is a Sufis emotional soliloquy. This is a situation close to the Creator and it talks to him. That expressing style is so famous in the Arabic and Islamic literature that is so precious. From that point, there is no reason to put this article in the row of blasphemy.
The negative reactions toward this article, was it by misinterpretation and accusing the writer of unbelief, and the request of setting fire to Annahar Daily, reminds the Middle Ages, which were known as the Ages of Darkness in the European and Arabic culture.
Standing up to intellectuals by violence and threatening, shows the intellectual and cultural decay in the societies. We urge to face intellect-by-intellect, evidence-by-evidence, and to keep away from yielding to direct and instinctive emotion. This will help to enriching the debate, guide the society to move forward, develop the faith and approximate the hearts to God.
Ucip Lebanon is scared that the prosecution of Akl Al AWEET may pursue the intellectual and reformative movement which is seeking for freeing the Arab world from backwardness bonds, because this movement is on the opposite side of the extremist movements that are trying to lead the society to the Ages of Religious Darkness and Paganism
