Ucip Lebanon wishes the allowance of redistribution of the book of Dr Adonis Akra.

Ucip Lebanon denounce the seizure of the book of Dr Adonis     Akra, considering that withstanding to media freedom is in contradiction with the logic of history, as well as it leads back societies.  The release stated that:

1. The confiscation of the book of Dr Adonis Akra attacks once again the media freedom in Lebanon, and this act offend the image of Lebanon and his pathfinding role on the level of intellect and democratic practicing. Besides, this act withstands the academic freedom and the critical role asked from literate persons.

1. Seizing books, as well as stopping media and drawing red lines for the work of journalists, leads people back.  What Arab world is undergoing recently, was it disorder or lost, is a result of the absence of public and private freedom, as same as the practice of suppression from the non-democratic systems which fears for its own continuity and interests.

1. The history of societies confirm that the liberty which leads to intellectual, direct and responsible debate, and which guarantees the right to express for all the opinions and movements, is fundamental for the society to go forward and upgrade.

Accordingly, Ucip Lebanon wishes the allowance of redistribution of the book, and giving the possibility of debating its content, and then we can rectify it if there are untrue facts.
