1 – The death of the Lebanese engineer Ramzi Irani and the Palestinian Jihad Jibril in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, shocked most of Lebanese and Palestinian people, not just in the way of their tragic liquidation, but by the threat signs it carried against personal freedoms and the citizens’ security, by the careless of some officials who responsible before the aid calls all long the disappearance of the engineer Irani, and by their weakness to face the responsible of these awful crimes which let every citizen and residence on the Lebanese territories feel that they became without any cover which protects him, his family and friends.
Such crimes are not only treated by disapproving them, but by working seriously in order to discover the criminals and the persons behind them, and by enlarging the basis of public freedoms.
2 – The thing which increased the accident gravity and constituted a second shock was the way the corpse of Irani was exposed on the television channels and the way it was photographed. It would be better that mass media does not transmit these images which serve the objective of the criminals, with regard to the fright they stimulate, and the failure in front of the terrorism power. 3 – The third shock was the media competition between some officials benefiting of mobiles resources, whereas most of the Lebanese people had the impression that certain persons holding the power are mostly interested of folding their wealth at the expense of the public interest, while the sharpness of the economic crisis is aggravating and while pour classes and most parts of the citizens are suffering for insuring the bread and their needs.
This painful reality exposes lots of questions about the officials’ seriousness in treating the decisive causes of the persons, and this continues to present a bad image of Lebanon at the threshold of summer and tourist season. The strange fact is that the responsibles of public affair make their best in order to ameliorate the image of their country through the mass media, whereas some Lebanese ones are not attentive but to their personal affairs at the expense of the public institution and persons’ interests, who became without any power.
